I volunteer on the board of Changing Lives Cambodia, a 501(c)3 charity helping the children of the Stung Meanchey garbage dump. About 2000 people — 600 children — live and work on the garbage dump as scavengers, collecting pieces of plastic and metal for recycling. They make about 80 cents a day.

Sponsoring a child for only $45 a month gives them schooling, a better home, and three meals a day. 100 percent of funds go to the children, with no “administrative” fees chomping into your donation.
For more information on sponsoring a child, e-mail me at geoffrey.cain (at) gmail.com.
